Register your travel plans

We strongly advise that you register your travel plans with your national embassy or consulate.

Travel registration is a free service for U.S and Australian citizens and nationals traveling or living abroad for (see below). Registering with this service allows you to receive up to date information from your embassy about safety conditions in your destination country, allowing you to make informed decisions about all aspects of your trip. Registering will also help your embassy to contact and assist you in case of an emergency.

* For Australians: there is not an Australian Embassy or Consulate in Bamako, Mali (the nearest is in Accra, Ghana). For this reason, we advise that you also register your travel plans with Registrations of Canadians Abroad (see below), who offer this service to Australians travelling/living in Bamako.
